I had an unpleasant stay due to the mediocre hygiene.
Staff and guards were vey polite and helpful.
The place is old, dilapidated, carpets are moldy and stinky. Rest rooms not very clean and poorly painted. Rooms smelled moldy and dusty. Carpets dusty...

The Sawa has returned to its old status as being a good middle class hotel in the centre of Douala
They have significantly improved the hotel over the last years. It is obviously still old etc., but I find this quite charming.
